Having provided the stiff backbone required to many a HOB innings, Davies has an excellent knowledge of the game and a safe pair of hands to match. With deliveries so relentlessly accurate you could have sworn you were watching five replays of the first ball, his bowling at the death of a match is vital to the Old Boys because if the batsman misses, he hits the timbers.
