Name: Andrew Rodney Burnell
DoB: 17th July 1978
Born: Bristol
Playing role: Higher middle order batsman
Batting style: Left-hand bat
Bowling style: Left-arm shit
Nick name: Burners, Martin Fowler

Affectionately known as 'mumbles' for his inability to talk and be understood, 'Burners' was a fine youth cricketer and despite not playing regularly since the age of 14, still believes 'you never lose it'. However, due to his extremely clammy hands, Andy has difficultly catching the ball and is one of only a select few that has still to take a catch in three seasons! He's also unlikely to bowl as opposition batsmen have been known to grow old and die by the time his delivery has reached them. Some claim these go-slow tactics are a ploy to drum up trade for his day job as the average hair length grows by 3cm for each Burnell over.

Strengths: - Short back and sides, flat tops and wet shaving

Weaknesses: - Could cause a few run outs due to his inability to talk clearly. Availability could be a problem as he always 'got to see a man about a dog'

Interesting fact: - Self-made man, massive left toe
