Previous matches............

HOBs were soundly beaten in their final match of the season by a very strong YMCA team. This mattered not as the game was a dead rubber as the mighty Old Boys from Henleaze had already won the league with this game to spare! JS Smith took his 30th wicket of the season & EC Davies again top scored with the bat but we still ended up losing by 61 runs. scorecard / match report / photos

On a pudding of a pitch Henleaze restricted City Clarks to 90 for 4. After a top & middle order collapse that Atherton's England would have been proud of, Barry & Thomas came to the HOB rescue by putting on almost 50 for the 7th wicket partnership. scorecard / match report / photos

Ed Davies was 1 run short of making his fourth half century of the season as HOBs set Stoke Druids 121 to win. Caller & Barrett claim the wickets of the openers whilst Jon Smith and Stu Adams cleaned up the middle order leaving the opposition 32 runs short, finishing on 88 for 6. scorecard / match report / photos

Set 140 to win by United Banks HOBs rattled off the runs with 9 balls to spare mainly thanks to a 101 third wicket partnership between Andrew Barry (47) and Will Thomas (57*). Will was also the pick of the bowlers and duly collected the MOTM award. Congratulations to Al Pearce too who claimed his first HOB wicket! scorecard / match report / photos

Another game and another win for HOBs. Fantastic bowling & aggressive fielding saw Gremlins bowled out for 69. Thomas claimed a Michelle (Pfeiffer) whilst JS Smith & Barrett mopped up the rest. Zographou top scored with the bat, hitting his best ever score of 33 as the old boys cruised to a 6 wicket victory! scorecard / match report / photos

HOBs maintained their 100% unbeaten T20 record this season after beating MOD by 2 wickets. Chasing 125 to win, Captain Smith hitting the winning runs from the very last ball of the innings to finish unbeaten on 37. Other notable performances came from JS Smith (31) with the bat, T Loughran (3 fer 9) with the ball and congratulations to SH Lambshead for taking his first catch for the old boys! scorecard / match report / photos

Jimmy Osmond continued his excellent bowling start to his HOB career by taking another 3 wickets last night. Zographou also claimed a wicket as Fishponds were knocked over for just 46. After a shaky start with the bat which saw 2 wickets fall in the first over, the Old Boys ran out comfortable winners, chasing down the target in just 10 overs. scorecard / match report / photos

After winning their sixth consecutive league match of the season, the Old Boys are fairly confident they've won the Bristol Constructions League! Tight bowling & sharp fielding meant Renishaw could only muster 72 for 9 from 20 overs but once again HOBs made hard work of chasing down a modest total, eventually getting there with 13 balls to spare. scorecard / match report / photos

The Old Boys kept up their impressive T20 winning streak this season with a 4 wicket victory over Putts Puffers. The game will be remembered for Niko Zographou taking his first ever wicket in cricket. Other notable contributions came from Andrew Barry & Will Thomas with the bat - both being forced to retire after passing the 25 and out rule imposed on this game! scorecard / match report / photos

Bowlers Adams, Loughran & Ashford picked up 2 wickets each as Winford set HOBs a target of 120 to win. Pearce top scored with the bat (22) & after Jon Smith had been controversially run out, Captain Smith hit the winnings runs with a huge 6 straight back over the bowler's head. scorecard / match report / photos

The Old Boys of Henleaze returned to winning ways last night by beating Bushwackers by 7 wickets. Jon Smith's purple patch with the ball continued as he picked up 3 for 12 as we were set 111 to win. Davies was once again the man to see us home after hitting an unbeaten 66 - his third half century of the season. scorecard / match report / photos

A dark day in HOBs history saw them lose to Octopus for the second time this season. After bowling them out for 92, the Old Boys put in one of the worst ever batting performances, posting just 63 with almost half of the runs scored by Will Thomas (26no). MoTM went to Jon Smith for his excellent bowling figures of 4 for 8 from 8 overs. scorecard / match report / photos

Tight bowling & an excellent fielding display restricted MOD to 124 for 3 from their 20 overs. After looking dead & buried at 62 for 6 in the 12th over, SJ Smith & W Thomas came to the HOBs rescue with an unbeaten partnership of 67 that saw the Old Boys march on! scorecard / match report / photos

A fantastic 101 not out from Ed Davies sent the Old boys on their way to their 9 victory of the season. Put into bat by Venturers, HOBs notched up their highest ever total of 258 for 7 before bowling out the opposition for 204. Congratulations Ed on becoming the first centurion hobber! scorecard / match report / photos

A defeated Parsons saw HOBs record their 7 win on the bounce after reaching the required target of 107 to win with one ball to spare! There were some great performances all round, especially from Trahar who was exceptional in the field, Barrett who hit the winning runs & Thomas who secured the MOTM pint after top scoring with the bat & also claiming 2 wickets. scorecard / match report / photos

HOBs racked up their seventh & most convincing win of the season last night after beating MCC by 9 wickets. Having been set 117 to win, opener Andrew Barry carried his bat, scoring the winning runs with a reverse sweep shot for 4 that also brought up his maiden half century for the club. scorecard / match report / photos

In a brutal display of batting prowess, HOBs recorded their biggest ever win batting first. Setting Whicheloe a mammoth 159 to win, Henleaze won by 96 runs after restricting the visitors to just 62 for 5. Mike Serjeant picked up the MoTM award for his 36 not out & Paul Ashford also deserves special praise for his wicket, run out and 2 catches. scorecard / match report / photos

HOBs made it two wins from two in the league and 5 wins from 6 matches this season in what was probably the best run chase in HOB history after winning by 6 wickets with 1 ball to spare! Man of the Match went to the Edster for his classy 57 not out in what was a perfectly timed innings! scorecard / match report / photos

Man of the Match Jo Smith put in a captains' performance last night as HOBs continued their good early season form by beating Stoke Druid by 27 runs. After top scoring with the bat (46) Smith then went on to record his best figures for HOBs with the ball, claiming 4 for 8 which included 2 c & b's. scorecard / match report / photos

Congratulations to Ed Davies who became the first Hobber to pass 1000 runs after registering his 6th 50 for the club in the 64 run win v Hope, Adam & Eve. In HOBs first ever league match JS Smith also put in a great all round performance hitting 29 with the bat and taking 3 wickets with the ball. scorecard / match report / photos

HOBs recorded their 2nd win of the season last night after defeating WG's by 3 wickets in Downend. Excellent swing bowling from Jon Smith restricted the home side to 93 for 8 before a blistering 34 from Will Thomas set the foundations for victory. Apart from a typical HOBs mid order collapse that saw 3 wickets fall for 2 runs, debutant Andrew Barry & Captain Smith saw the hobbers cross the line with more than 2 overs to spare. scorecard / match report / photos

In a closely fought game Octopus beat HOBs by 10 runs. A brilliant bowling and fielding display restricted Octopus to 125 all out and although plenty of batsmen got starts no one could stick around long enough to knock off the required runs. MoTM went to Sam Lambshead for his score of 27 and a special mention to Leigh Caller for taking one on the knee - Get well soon mate! scorecard / match report / photos

The HOBs get off to a winning start after beating Venturers by 5 wickets. In true HOB fashion we made hard work of passing a modest total of 58 to win on a very slow and damp pitch. Ed Davies took his 50th wicket for the club and a gritty 19 not out from Mike Serjeant saw the Old Boys home. scorecard / match report / photos
