In an attempt to get more (any) people to write match reports, I've come up with this simple questionnaire to fill in after each game (actually, the idea was lifted from another web site!!) Anyway, it only takes a few minutes (or simply copy the previous weeks). Simply highlight in bold the most appropriate answer. Special thanks goes to our captain, Jon Smith for the failure of this match report. The game on (Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday) was (at home / away / called off AGAIN) We played a team (of girls / who were much better than us / called ……….MOD….) The opposition were (late / old / breeders) When it came to tossing up we (won AGAIN and elected to field / lost and were told to field / didn't bother because we were told to field) The 20 over slog was scheduled to begin at 6pm but we started (late / late / late) We (fielded / fielded / fielded) first and although we had a good start which lasted (2 overs / 5 overs / until Joel was bowled out) the opposition made ... 111.... for ...5... at the end of their innings. We were (unlucky / very unlucky) not to take more wickets and only dropped (1 or 2 / 3 or 4 / don't ask how many) catches. Stu Adams (took 3 wickets / was smacked all round the ground / took 3 wickets but was smacked all round the ground) Our innings got off to a (good / bad / slow) start and then we (collapsed / collapsed spectacularly / really f*****d it up) The opposition (bowled well / bowled and fielded well / must have been pissing themselves laughing) At the end of the day we somehow managed to make...112.. and retired to the bar as (winners / losers) The opposition played (like true gents and in the spirit of the game / mostly fairly, but with a couple of dubious decisions from their umpires / like a bunch of bl00dy cheats and I never want to see them again, let alone play them) If I take anything from this game it will be (a sense of regret and shame / an unfortunate injury / one of the opposition's wallets while they were in the shower). Ultimately I think we……………….Chose one of the following lost because (we were batting in the dark / we were sh*t aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!) won because (Jon batted well / Ed batted well / Jon and Ed batted well) |
